Treatment on the Right Anatomical Level

A crucial component of the Cupid Lift® is the use of the deep plane technique. Through a discreet incision at the base of the nose, the SMAS layer above the orbicularis oris muscle is released, enabling the repositioning of skin and soft tissue as a single continuous unit without creating tension or negatively affecting muscle function.

This method provides improved rotation and exposure of the upper lip, increased visibility of the red part of the lip, and enhanced definition of the cupid's bow. At the same time, tooth exposure can be increased in a natural way, with a reduced risk of visible scarring and preserved, stable muscle function.

Since closure occurs without tension, healing can take place under optimal conditions, contributing to discreet scars and long-term stable results.

The Cupid Design

The Cupid Lift® is based on an anatomically designed blueprint where the lip's natural tension lines are used to plan the procedure with high precision. This design allows for a controlled enhancement of the lip's shape, symmetry, and exposure.

Through meticulous surgical planning, the definition of the cupid's bow can be improved, the central shape and projection optimized, and the symmetry between the right and left sides fine-tuned. The exposure of the lateral parts of the lip can also be adjusted to create a more harmonious overall appearance.

The result is a more defined, balanced, and aesthetically harmonious upper lip with a natural expression.

Improvement of Facial Proportions and Youthful Balance

Over time, the distance between the nose and the upper lip lengthens while the lip loses its natural rotation and definition. This affects the overall balance of the face and can give a heavier or more aged expression.

In some patients, the position of the corners of the mouth can contribute to a downward or tired expression. In these cases, a corner lift can be performed as a complement to the Cupid Lift®.
