Novolyft™

"Novolyft™ is based on the principle of not just lifting the breast, but restoring its structure and stability." — Dr. Katia Gomes

About the treatment

Novolyft™ is an advanced breast lift technique developed by Dr. Katia Gomes to achieve a more complete, stable, and natural result than a traditional breast lift alone can offer.

A traditional breast lift focuses primarily on removing excess skin and raising the position of the nipple-areola complex. Novolyft™ builds on this principle by also restructuring the patient's own breast tissue and improving the breast's shape, projection, and long-term stability.

The goal is to restore a youthful and harmonious breast shape without implants, using the body's own tissues.

Inferior flap

A central part of Novolyft™ is the use of the so-called inferior flap technique. This means that the lower part of the breast tissue, which is often the part that has lost its position over time and contributed to the sagging appearance, is mobilized and moved to a higher position in the breast.

This tissue is used to restore fullness and shape, particularly in the upper part of the breast, where volume has often decreased with age or after pregnancy.

By using the patient's own tissue, a natural shape can be recreated without the need for implants.

Muscle fixation

After repositioning, the inferior flap is fixed to the underlying chest muscle. This fixation acts as an internal support that stabilizes the breast's new position.

Dr. Katia Gomes often describes this to patients as a seat belt. Just as a seat belt keeps the body stable in a car, this fixation helps hold the breast tissue in its new position and reduces the risk of the breast sagging again over time.

This is a crucial component for achieving a more long-lasting and stable result.

Improvement of the entire breast contour

Novolyft™ also includes treatment of the surrounding areas to create a harmonious overall result.

Liposuction can be performed to reduce localized fat deposits in areas such as the lateral part of the breast and the area toward the armpit. This improves the breast's definition and the transition between breast and chest wall.

If necessary, fat can also be used for fat grafting to improve the contour and create a more defined and balanced shape.

Optimized scar placement

Novolyft™ is performed using a surgical technique that enables an efficient breast lift with minimized scarring when anatomical conditions permit. Often, a vertical or modified L-shaped incision is used, which can reduce the need for a long horizontal scar in the inframammary fold.

This provides an aesthetically favorable result with discreet scars.

An individualized surgical approach

Novolyft™ is not a standardized operation but a surgical strategy where each procedure is customized individually based on the patient's anatomy, tissue quality, and aesthetic goals.

The technique can include a breast lift with optimized scar placement, the use of an inferior flap to restore shape and fullness, fixation to the muscle for increased stability, liposuction for an improved contour, and fat grafting if needed for further volume and shape improvement.

This combination enables a more complete and long-lasting result than a traditional breast lift, by treating position, shape, and tissue support in a structured and anatomically thoughtful way.
