Otoplasty
Surgery for prominent ears, an effective treatment for better self-esteem.

About the treatment
If you or your child feel that prominent ears affect daily life or self-esteem, plastic surgery is a safe and effective option. During an otoplasty, the shape, position, and proportions of the ears are corrected so that they harmonize better with the face.
Otoplasty is used to treat both congenital abnormalities, such as prominent ears, and deformities that have arisen later due to injury. By reshaping the cartilage, we restore the natural lines of the ears and contribute to a more balanced overall appearance.
During a procedure for prominent ears, we use surgical techniques that allow the ear cartilage to be shaped and positioned closer to the side of the head. The incisions are placed discreetly, usually behind the ear in its natural fold. In cases where it is required, the incision can also be placed in the front, but always in a natural fold to avoid visible scars. The procedure is performed using sutures tailored to the patient's needs, either absorbable or non-absorbable.
Benefits of otoplasty for adults and children
Otoplasty creates a more harmonious relationship between the ears and the face and can contribute to improved self-esteem and increased confidence in social situations.
Recovery is usually quick and scarring is minimal thanks to discreetly placed incisions.
The treatment is always adapted to individual conditions, whether for children or adults, to achieve a natural and balanced result.
